The “Time for Better English” series of books has been developed to assist in the understanding of the conventions in grammar, punctuation, spelling, writing and reading of various text types.
These elements of English have been presented in units of work developed from a text type’s subject. Activities in reading have been developed around the NAPLAN framework while definitions and conventions follow the guidelines set out in the Australian Curriculum. Each unit addresses the conventions outlined above in the context of the text type subject.
A teaching Overview and Register for each unit and its components is provided for use as a written record of work covered by the teacher.
The overview of each unit will help save time with programming and lesson preparation. Each unit is full of practice activities for the student.
A full set of answers is included to help the busy teacher save time.
