SERVICE UPDATE 3/02/2025

As of Monday, 3 February, heavy rainfall and road closures continue to cause delivery delays across Far North Queensland. With weather conditions worsening over the weekend, the Bruce Highway remains closed in multiple locations.

As a result, our couriers are unable to transport freight into or out of Cairns and Townsville and for a minimum of the next 48 hours. We are monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available.

If an item on your back-to-school list is or was out of stock at the time of pack collection, it will have been noted on the paperwork supplied with your order as being on backorder for you. The delivery delays will affect the length of time that backordered items take to arrive to us from our suppliers - this is beyond our control. Please be patient with our staff.

Open Monday Tuesday Friday from 8am-4pm. Open Wednesday Thursday from 8am-5pm.Open Saturday from 8am - 12pm closing strictly at midday.

A good grasp of numeracy is an important tool for planning and completing projects in the Design and Technology subject area. This title has been written to assist Design and Technology teachers in teaching and reinforcing practical numeracy skills in the classroom. The units revise basic measurement, line, angle, shape and costing topics as they apply to working with metal, wood, plastics and textiles. More complex numeracy skills are covered in practical topics about even spacing, reducing waste and cutting circles accurately. The units can be used to pre-teach students the numeracy skills they require for particular projects and as revision or reference material for senior students who need to brush up on concepts and calculations that will help them to construct their individual assessment tasks. Each unit of work is self-contained although students will find a calculator useful for most activities, and some units require materials such as a ruler, set square, protractor or compass.
