The new edition of Senior Ancient History for Queensland provides the most up-to-date syllabus content and assessment preparation to ensure students are fully prepared for success in their QCE Senior History studies.
- New content: Unit 1 Chapter 1 Digging Up the Past includes a case study of an Indigenous-led archaeological project on Mithaka Country; Unit 2 includes an expanded chapter on Perikles; Units 3&4 now cover the Persian Wars, The Medieval Crusades and Cleopatra.
- Each chapter is now structured around the contextual, depth and concluding studies to better reflect the way the subject is taught in Queensland sc hools, with a new chapter opening ‘Focus’ that will grab student interest in each topic.
- Unit 1 Topic 2 Features of Ancient Societies chapters address a wider range of the societal features outlined in the syllabus (including the new ‘Lives of women’).
