Educational Chart - Clever Combinations (Compound Words)

SERVICE UPDATE 3/02/2025

As of Monday, 3 February, heavy rainfall and road closures continue to cause delivery delays across Far North Queensland. With weather conditions worsening over the weekend, the Bruce Highway remains closed in multiple locations.

As a result, our couriers are unable to transport freight into or out of Cairns and Townsville and for a minimum of the next 48 hours. We are monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available.

If an item on your back-to-school list is or was out of stock at the time of pack collection, it will have been noted on the paperwork supplied with your order as being on backorder for you. The delivery delays will affect the length of time that backordered items take to arrive to us from our suppliers - this is beyond our control. Please be patient with our staff.

Open Monday Tuesday Friday from 8am-4pm. Open Wednesday Thursday from 8am-5pm.Open Saturday from 8am - 12pm closing strictly at midday.

Explore the playful side of English with our 'Clever Combinations' Compound Words chart. This educational poster is an excellent tool for teaching the concept of compound words, where two words are merged to create a new word with its own meaning.

The chart measures 42cm x 55cm, making it a prominent educational resource for any learning environment, from the classroom to a child's study area at home. It features a series of well-chosen examples of compound words, such as "cupcake," "lighthouse," and "popcorn," each illustrated with cute and colourful imagery that clearly demonstrates how two separate words can be combined to form a new one.

Laminated for durability and usability, the surface of this chart is perfect for writing on with a whiteboard pen. This allows for interactive lessons where teachers or students can add additional examples, draw connections, or even quiz each other by covering one part of the compound word and guessing the whole.

Proudly designed and printed in Australia, this chart is not just a teaching aid but also a visual stimulus that encourages linguistic curiosity and vocabulary expansion in a fun and engaging way.
