Class Cooking Ages 8 - 11+

SERVICE UPDATE 3/02/2025

As of Monday, 3 February, heavy rainfall and road closures continue to cause delivery delays across Far North Queensland. With weather conditions worsening over the weekend, the Bruce Highway remains closed in multiple locations.

As a result, our couriers are unable to transport freight into or out of Cairns and Townsville and for a minimum of the next 48 hours. We are monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available.

If an item on your back-to-school list is or was out of stock at the time of pack collection, it will have been noted on the paperwork supplied with your order as being on backorder for you. The delivery delays will affect the length of time that backordered items take to arrive to us from our suppliers - this is beyond our control. Please be patient with our staff.

Open Monday Tuesday Friday from 8am-4pm. Open Wednesday Thursday from 8am-5pm.Open Saturday from 8am - 12pm closing strictly at midday.

Recipes from around the world

A child’s natural love of cooking is the motivational tool used to encourage further learning activities. Class Cooking is a blackline master which provides clear and concise step-by-step recipes from around the world. While the food is baking, children will be able to complete the related Language, Science, Maths and Social Studies activities.

For teachers, the recipes are designed to minimise time-consuming organisation. Children are involved in the whole process, including buying the ingredients and bringing the utensils. A student evaluation sheet is included to allow the teacher to evaluate and assess the children’s participation and enjoyment of these activities.

Features:

  • step-by-step recipes from around the world
  • information on the origin, historical and social significance, cost and budgeting, contents and taste, and the scientific process from ingredient to product
